What if deciding where to eat for lunch also involved deciding how you can make a difference in your community?
Everybody Eats Week is a way to bring awareness to food insecurity right here in Cedar Rapids. In the state of Iowa, 1 in 10 people struggle with hunger, and 1 in 7 of those are children. Now more than ever, in times of high unemployment and economic uncertainty, those who are able to give a little extra can help ensure those in need are being fed right here in Cedar Rapids.
Throughout the week of Aug. 24-28, we will have breakfast, lunch and beverage specials, and a discount code for our online ordering! Additionally, we are looking to raise $2,000 for the pay-it-forward fund to enable us to provide more healthy meals at no cost to those in need.
By eating at Groundswell Cafe and tipping or donating to the pay-it-forward fund, you’re supporting our mission of ensuring everybody eats.
